Urban Tornado

The tornado that ripped through my hometown of St. Louis, MO on May 16, 2025, sent devastation through an already struggling community--including on my late great-grandparent's house that I once lived in and my family still owns. It was my aim to explore the beauty in decay that gives way to future potential--as I imagine what could be as I study what was. This project captures the haunting allure of historical structures struggling to hang on to survive the passage of time. From partially demolished churches to dilapidated houses, each image tells a story of urban decay and the resilience of the human spirit.
